Powder Feeder

Our well-proven and reliable gravity wheel feeding system is designed for a clean and pulsing-free operation. The very precise metering system allows a pulsing-free feed rate of 2g / minute.

The transparent hopper allows easy control showing the amount of powder left inside. With an additional sensor, the operator will be timely informed when a low powder level is reached. In combination with the PLC, calibration of the powder feed rate is made easily.

Diffusion tight hoses are used for all gas and powder tubes to prevent moisture in the feeding channels and so minimizing the risk of pores during the welding process.

powder feeder uses rotating disk technology to ensure a steady flow of powder which is carried by a carrier gas (Ar, N2), while closed-loop powder feeder weighs powder through load-cells. The weight signal is used as a feedback control system, assuring very short stabilization time, active control by PLC and continuous reading.

The supervisor software controls the powder feed rate changing the speed of the rotating feeder disk. Powder feeders are equipped with displays for local settings, also Profibus, Profinet network connection is available for automatic remote control.

Stand-alone powder feeders can be integrated into all existing thermal spray systems on the market up to 6 feeders. Hoppers with 5l or 1.5l capacity are available in different versions due to Plasma or HVOF application.


  • The table-style powder feeder is able to stable supply minute particles from micron size to 100μm.
  • The fine powders are transported with a carrier gas.
  • The previously difficult delivery of highly-cohesive 1 μm to nano-size particles is possible.
  • Feed rate is from 1 to around 50g/min.
  • Automatic-control rate (option) is 5 g/min or more.
